A search for senior living options begins when staying at home alone is no longer safe. Assisted living can cost up tp $6,000 or more PER MONTH! For a fraction of the cost of private duty and assisted living, your loved one is safe and engaged in scheduled activities derived from occupational therapy (OT) science-based interventions.
The science of OT promotes emotional well-being, increased physical stamina to maintain independence in Activities of Daily Living, and engages neuroplasticity to maintain cognitive functioning. Maintaining independence as we age is extremely important to our mental and emotional well being.
The Fox Lodge is a social venue for seniors and so much more! It is a vibrant environment for positive mind, body, and emotional stimulation in a social club arena. Programming at The Fox Lodge is designed to spark friendships which eliminate social isolation. When socially isolated from peers, anxiety, fear, and depression can settle into an otherwise vivacious Fox!
The Fox Lodge Clubhouse is military and law enforcement veteran owned. We hold our expectations to a level of pride. The bar is raised to the sky with our staffing qualifications. Our team members are fully background checked and must have a current certification in senior care. Through our rigorous application process and detailed evaluation, we are very picky in selecting our pack-mates. We are a family at The Fox Lodge! You will be family, too!
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for “aging-in-place” seniors by offering the ability to be active with peers, enjoy a sense of purpose and fulfilment, and increase independence in their daily activities.
The Fox Lodge Philosophy:
Senior members of society are not feeble and without purpose. Rather, they continue to grow and learn; even in the midst of physical and/or cognitive decline, learning and creating new memories is possible.
Because of their experience, they have wisdom to pass on to others therefore, they must be cherished and protected.
The term ‘elder’ connotes respect and represents our approach to our “Foxes”. We will always provide assistance and engagement with care and dignity.
It is acceptable and preferable, to have a mutually caring relationship with our “Foxes” and their families. There are still boundaries between the roles of a professional and a friend, but connecting with the ‘person within’ is an act of care that goes beyond job duties.
We respect elders’ right to choose to participate. We honor each person’s right to make their own informed choices - our job is to inform and educate the benefits of participation; to enable each elder to make an “informed choice”.
We assume that elders continue to be able to express preferences, even in the presence of cognitive decline. If dementia symptoms prevent a “Fox” from anticipating the consequences of decisions, whenever possible, family will be consulted as to what the elder would likely choose.
Elders continue to need a sense of purpose throughout their lives. We strive to support this need by providing opportunities and encouragement to do things that benefit themselves and others.
We strive to understand each individual “Fox” and recognize their uniqueness.
